Bizarre Case of Tattoops Miscommunication

tattooAn 18-year-old Belgian teenager is suing a Romanian tattoo artist for £8,500 pounds over the 56 stars he tattooed on her face after she allegedly asked him for just three stars.


Kimberley Vlaminck says she had requested for only three small stars on her face, but the Romanian artist misunderstood her French and English accent and inked in a total of 56 stars. She claims she fell asleep while he was doing his work and awoke to ‘this nightmare’.

“It is terrible for me,” said Kimberley. “I cannot go out on to the street, I am so embarrassed. I just look horrible.”

Rouslan Toumaniantz, the owner of The Tattoo Box in Courtrai, denies her claim saying that she was wide awake and even looked in the mirror several times during the procedure. He stated, “She asked for 56 stars and that’s what she got.”

According to the reports it will cost Kimberley £8,500 to get the tattoos removed. If you asked me I think the poor girl deserves some kind of compensation so she can at least get those ugly tattoos remove off of her face. Let this story be a life lesson to us all to think twice before getting that tattoo because our decisions today can be tomorrow’s regrets.     UPDATE: Girl with 56 Stars Admits Lying

    The 18-year-old has finally confessed she did not fall asleep, that she wanted all the stars and was “fully aware” of what Mr Toumaniantz was doing.

    Ms Vlaminck told a Dutch TV crew: “I asked for 56 stars and initially adored them. But when my father saw them, he was furious. So I said I fell asleep and the that the tattooist mad made a mistake.”
