Man Charged with Raping Own Wife

A North Carolina man used the online advertising service Craigslist to recruit a man to come into his home and rape his wife own wife. According to the Associated Press, the victim who name was not released for security purposes, called 911 early Sunday morning and stated that she had been sexually assaulted in her home by a knife-wielding man. Her husband was allegedly present in the room during the assault, authorities said. Their two young children were also in the house at the time, but were unaware of what was happening.

Authorities grew suspicious of the husband after no sign of force entry was found in the house, and information he provided didn’t add up, said police officials. The 25-year-old husband is currently sitting in jailed on a $200,000 bond and faces charges including first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sexual offense and one count of attempted first-degree sexual offense.
Police are still investigating the identity of the man who raped the woman. Furthermore, the erotic services section from the online classified ads site Craigslist said has been removed since May 12.
