Meet the World’s Longest Domestic Feline

A feline in Reno, NV has broken the Guinness record book for being the world’s longest domestic cat. The Reno Gazette-Journal reported that the 5-year-old Maine Coon named Stewie was certified as the new record holder after measuring in 123.19 cm (48.05 inches) from the nose to the tip of his tail bone.

The previous record holder was also held by another Maine Coon with measurement of 48 inches. Only 1/2 inches shorter than Stewie.
Stewie’s owner, Robin Hendrickson said that Maine Coons are one of the oldest natural breeds of cats and are known as “the gentle giants” for their mellow personalities.
