The Girl With the Longest Tongue in the World

Annika Irmler, a teenager from Germany has licked her way into the Guinness Book of Records with her whopping 7 cm (2.7 inches) long tongue.

The twelve-year-old who lives in Tangstedt stated, “I’m just proud that now people everywhere can read about me and my tongue,” she said. “On my first day at school I had to stick my tongue out for everyone.”

According to the Guinness World Records, Stephen Taylor from the UK is the current world record holder for having the longest male tongue in the world. His tongue, measures in at 9.5 cm (3.74 in) from the tip to the center of his closed top lip.
