Cross-eyed Opossum Becomes Latest German Star

A cross-eyed opossum in Germany named Heidi has become an Internet sensation after gaining more than 130,000 fans on Facebook.

Heidi is two years old and is currently living at the Leipzig Zoo in Germany. She was originally from North Carolina, but was transferred to the Germany zoo because of harsh whether conditions in the US.
It is believed that fat deposits behind her eyes causes her eyes to cross, but zoologists said that opossum rarely need to rely on their sense of sight to navigate. As a nocturnal species, Heidi rely on her sense of smell to get around instead.
