So who the heck is Minh and why is he blogging?

First and foremost I would like to thank you for visiting my weblog. Please allow me to briefly introduce myself. My name is Minh Nguyen, but I’ve found my friend to more commonly call me by my nickname Ty. I am working and studying in the field of Information Technology. I fix computers for a living by day; by night I become a blood sucking vampire who write blog. Well maybe not the blood sucking part, but vampire? yes.

The idea of starting a blog came to me when I went backpacking through Asia for the very first time in 2008. During my exploration I’ve encountered numerous of events that I find odd, bizarre, weird, yet interesting at the same time. These strange events gave me a horrible urge for blood and to somehow come up with an idea of sharing these strange occurrences with people across the globe. It took me quite some time to learn the ins and outs of HTML (how to make love), CSS, PHP, and all the web 2.0 goodies that is to learn. After countless hours of experimenting and disecting codes, I’ve managed to successfully launch my very own blog.

My first blog was wordpress.com/vitaminh. I later purchased my hosting services and hosted vinaminh.com. My latest project is Gotweird.com which is the very awesome weblog you are seeing at this moment.
